In India, a “dhaba” is a roadside eatery where travelers stop to enjoy hearty, homey meals. These dishes are typically quick to prepare, affordable, and full of flavor. Dhaba Express brings the essence of a traditional dhaba to Parsippany, offering authentic Indian cuisine made fast at fair prices.

Authentic Dhaba Favorites
Some of the most popular dishes at Dhaba Express include Malai Kofta, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Jhinga, and their various biryanis. The latter includes options such as chicken, goat, lamb, egg, jackfruit, shrimp, and vegetable paneer. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, as well as a small assortment of Indo Chinese dishes. In particular, the Chef recommends trying the Dhaba Dal Makhani, a dish of slow-cooked, creamy black lentils. His other suggestions are the Murgh Vandaloo and the Patiala Fish Curry.
But don’t forget to save room for dessert. The Sweets Menu at Dhaba Express features traditional Indian desserts like Gulab Jamun. These are deep-fried milk dumplings in a rose-cardamom sugar syrup. Another popular choice is the Kheer, a sweet rice pudding with dried fruit.

Dhaba Express is celebrating 5 years in business since their opening in March of 2019. The restaurant is part of the Fine Indian Dining Group. This group operates 10 Indian restaurants and a catering division all within the tri-state area. Some of their other restaurants include Jashan and Social Hub by Dhaba.
