There are plenty of sports bars in New Jersey. But Social Hub is New Jersey’s first (and only) premium bar, restaurant, and lounge that serves elevated Indian cuisine. The restaurant in Parsippany eschews traditional bar fare in favor of tasty Indian appetizers, unique cocktails, mocktails, and more.
“What sets us apart is our love of experimentation and constantly trying new things,” says owner Ankush Punhani. He recommends the Dahi Sev Puri, a plate of crispy, fried dough balls filled with potatoes and chickpeas. Another popular pick is the Dal Makhani Fondue, a slow-cooked classic daal makhani served with garlic naan bread pieces. Of course, the other benefit of Social Hub is patrons can enjoy their food and drinks while watching live sports.

The restaurant boasts numerous big-screen TVs, as well as a full bar with beer, wine, and much more. Besides the restaurant seating, Social Hub also has a lounge area. “We cater to sports fans, food enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a lively and entertaining atmosphere,” Ankush says. “Our diverse menu and drink options appeal to a wide range of tastes.”
Fan favorite menu items at Social Hub include the Butter Chicken Baos, Shahi Galouti, and Aftabi Boti. Meanwhile, the Executive Chef suggests the Sarson Ka Saag, Crispy Corn Chaat, and the Delhi Wala Butter Chicken. Each offers a delicious and satisfying meal for patrons who want something more than light bar bites.
Future plans for Social Hub include the addition of a brunch menu.

The 7,000 square foot Social Hub is the latest venture for Ankush. In fact, his Fine Indian Dining Group has 10 Indian restaurants and a catering division in the tri-state area. That includes the upscale Indian dining restaurant, Jashan, which is also in Parsippany.
Ankush grew up in New Jersey and comes from a background in law. But he’s always had a passion for food and a love of sports. So opening Social Hub was a natural extension of his interests. It uniquely combines Indian dining and culture with the American elements of a sports bar.
