Kearny Point Community Hub Promotes Creativity and Connection

There’s no need to settle for a dull and dreary cubicle. For a workspace that’s more than the stereotypical office setting, Kearny Point curates a hub for community, creativity, and connection. But the team’s mission goes beyond creating an exciting work campus.

Kearny Point was designed to restore the surrounding wetlands and create a completely carbon-neutral development. The large, beautiful campus – which was originally a naval-factory site – features small to large office spaces and is already home to numerous innovative businesses. “We believe in building more than a workplace — we’ve created a resilient, sustainable ecosystem where companies can grow, communities can thrive, and the environment is respected,” says Mike Meyer, president of Hugo Neu Realty Management.

Whether you’re a solopreneur or a growing team of more than 50, Kearny Point provides flexible solutions for teams. Their customizable office spaces offer amenities to nurture any growing business. This includes private office space for teams of up to 16 employees. Their mixed-use facility caters to professional and creative businesses in a number of sectors. Current tenants work in logistics, tech start-ups, construction, podcasting, marketing, specialty retail, and hair and skincare.

For teams larger than 16 members, or for firms that require 3,000-square-foot or more, Kearny Point has up to 10,000-square feet available for lease. This above-standard infrastructure supports R&D, production, and more in an industrial-loft aesthetic.

Annex Area

Kearny Point combines the spirit of the original naval-factory site with newly renovated modern workspaces. For instance, “The Annex” holds over 100 commercial workspaces, a double-height atrium, and preserved Gantry crane. Meanwhile, “Building 78” (open since 2016) offers flexible private offices. This area has 13-foot ceilings, 25-foot-wide columns, The Dry Dock Bistro, and a Wi-Fi-connected roof deck.

Amenities & Accolades

As expected of a modern community hub of this caliber, Kearny Point provides tenants with an array of amenities. This includes a pet-friendly building with 24/7 access, event space, EV charging stations, free parking, a fitness center, walking paths and greenspace, on-demand IT support, lounge space, conference rooms, and more.

Kearny Point has already received numerous accolades for its approach to urban planning, including the Smart Growth Award from New Jersey Future, which honored the project for its commitment to historic preservation, environmental protection, and economic opportunity.

In the coming months, they are planning to add larger workshop and warehouse mixed-use spaces to the campus. This will allow their e-commerce and start-ups to scale up and move from prototyping to early-stage production. “These types of spaces are critical to small business growth. And we will be providing affordable, convenient options that are not currently available in the area,” Mike explains.

Interested tenants, take note: Kearny Point offers one month free on a 12-month term, with alternative terms as flexible as six months.
