Toms River has a new spot for catering, Imported Italian specialty items, and an always-available selection of prepared foods. Della Cucina Italian Market & Catering also boasts a full deli counter, with artisan sandwiches and subs served on store baked Italian bread; plus dessert choices like cheesecake, tiramisu, cream puffs, key lime pie, Linzer cookies, rice pudding, and more.
The 2,000 square foot store also houses a full commercial kitchen. As such, they can provide beach favorites like sandwiches, salads, fruits, and beverages for pickup or local delivery. Although most customers pick up and take their food home, Della Cucina Italian Market & Catering has a few tables inside for lunch. Future plans include converting their outdoor grassy area into a secret garden offering live music and weekly dinners.

The owners describe Della Cucina Italian Market & Catering’s cuisine as “Italian American comfort food.” They design menus for groups of all sizes, from intimate dinners for two to parties for 200 guests. This includes everything from appetizers and sides to dinners and desserts. In fact, their mantra is “We spend all day in the kitchen so you don’t have to!”
Popular entrees include their meatballs and marinara, eggplant Parmesan and rollatini, and manicotti; handmade crepes rolled with their 3 cheese ricotta. Other favorites include lasagna with little meat balls, escarole and beans, and pasta e fagiole. However, if something isn’t on the menu, patrons can request it and Della Cucina Italian Market & Catering can often accommodate.
“We love it when our regulars call and ask for something that isn’t on the menu; something their mother or grandmother used to make for them. We are honored to know that we are being trusted with memories that are hard to replace” the owners say.
