Do you ever wonder how a restaurant gets its name? Well, in the case of Yolk’s on You Kitchen, the story is rather straight forward. While sitting around brainstorming, the idea simply hit Yolk’s on You Kitchen president James Rizzi. “After about 20 or so tries, I yelled out ‘How about Yolk’s on You?’” he says of the new Sea Bright spot. “And everyone loved the idea.”
The 1,900-square foot eatery is just steps from the beach; the interior seats 65 inside, which boasts a beach vibe with gray and blue hues. Meanwhile, the outside seats 24 on a sidewalk in front of the restaurant, complete with tent and numerous umbrellas.

As for the location, opening in Sea Bright was a no-brainer for the team. “We saw a great community with great people living there and a location that was too good to pass up,” says Rizzi, referring to its attractive seaside location. “We think this is what Sea Bright needed.”
Despite the potential risk of opening Yolk’s on You Kitchen during a pandemic, the owners are taking things in stride. “We decided to go full steam ahead,” says Rizzi; he co-owns the spot along with Roula Moudatsos, Joe Tori, and Lee Moudatsos. The Moudatsos siblings, in particular, have over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business. “But it’s hard to run the restaurant under these circumstances,” Rizzi admits.
They Don’t Yolk Around
Start your Yolk’s on You Kitchen experience off with the popular avocado benedict. This dish serves an avocado that’s cut in half and topped with two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce; it also comes with a side of potatoes. Otherwise, one indulgent option is their homemade chocolate French toast. Those practicing healthy habits, however, can order the Greek avocado toast. Of course, you’ll want to save room for dessert. Old school options, for instance, include egg creams and ice cream sodas. They also serve ice cream, root beer, and Coke floats. “Our shakes and banana splits are second to none,” Rizzi adds.
For a healthy dose of egg in your tummy, and not on your face, head to Yolk’s on You Kitchen; you can find them at 1132 East Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright. They serve their menu daily from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, but serve ice cream until 8:00 pm. They are currently open for outdoor dining, as well as takeout and delivery via the usual apps.
