Great Pumpkin Festival

Where: Heaven Hill Farm, 451 State Route 94, Vernon

New Jersey Vegan Food Festival

Where: Meadowlands Expo Center, 355 Plaza Drive, Seacaucus
When: November 16 & 17 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
Price: $20 for one-day pass or $30 for two-day pass; children 13 and under are free
Details: Are you a vegan or looking to learn more about the lifestyle? You’ll find everything vegan in one place — food, clothing and other plant-based products — at the annual Vegan Food Festival. Vendors will be grouped by county so you can easily find the stores that are closest to your hometown. Kids will enjoy the special children’s area, a Mill Creek Marsh Trail Hike, and a spelling bee.

Thanksgiving Harvest Home & Armistice Observance

Where: Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, 73 Kahdena Road, Morris Township
When: November 17 from noon to 4:00 pm
Price: $8 for adults, $6 for children (3-16), free for kids under 3
Details: Take part in interactive farm chores, crafts, and wagon rides at Fosterfields Farm. Visit the 1915 farmhouse and check out the holiday food as they prepare it. At 1:00 pm, they will honor all U.S. military personnel and veterans during a special tribute.

Dickens Days

Where: Main Street, Clinton
When: November 29 through December 1 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price: Free admission
Details: Enjoy a festive walk through downtown Clinton and interact with live performers playing Scrooge, Charles Dickens, and Father Christmas. Live music, holiday lights and decorations, plus horse drawn carriage rides will all be on hand as you kick off the Christmas season. Don’t miss the tree lighting ceremony November 29 at 6:30 pm!

El Dia de los Muertos

Where: Princeton Shopping Center, 301 N. Harrison Street, Princeton
When: November 2 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Details: Celebrate the ancient Mexican holiday El Dia de los Muertos aka “Day of the Dead” in Princeton. The Arts Council of Princeton’s annual celebration features strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting, and folk arts and crafts. Handmade in America Professional Craft Show

Details: For the sixth year in a row, the Handmade in America craft show will feature unique goods from New Jersey’s best crafters. Hand-blown glass, leatherworks, wood products, pottery, and baskets are just a sampling of what’s available for purchase. Holiday Light Show
