Before the holiday season kicks into high gear, take some time to enjoy all the fun festivals and fairs New Jersey has to offer. Awesome Autumn Fun

Where: Jakes Branch County Park, 1100 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood

Details: The seventh annual Awesome Autumn Fun celebration will have games for the whole family and refreshments, plus fall activities like hay rides, a hay maze and face painting. Apple cider and snacks are available for purchase and this is a rain or shine event.

Fall Festival

When: November 3 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Price: Prices vary by activity
Details: Visit with farm animals like miniature donkeys, alpaca, chickens, bunnies and more or check out the corn maze…can you find your way out? Hay rides and pony rides are also available, as are yummy goodies from the farm’s market stand.

Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival

Where: Elks Club, 1005 Washington Street, Hoboken
When: November 3 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Price: $40 in advance, $50 at the door
Details: Adults 21 & up are invited to try over 20 different craft beers, plus a variety of wines and fine whiskeys, at this Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival. Enjoy $5 small plates of delicious food, cornhole and basketball tournaments, live music, plus a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Liberty Humane Society.

Great Pumpkin Festival

Where: Heaven Hill Farm, 451 State Route 94, Vernon
When: November 4 & 5 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Price: $12 per person, free for children 2 & under
Details: The final weekend of Northern New Jersey’s largest fall festival serves up plenty of family-friendly fun on the farm. This event features hay rides, over thirty farm activities and the all-new “Wizard of Oz Corn Maze Adventure.”

Thanksgiving Harvest Home & Armistice Observance

Where: Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, 73 Kahdena Road, Morris Township
When: November 11 from noon to 4:00 pm
Price: $8 for adults, $6 for children (4-16), $4 for young children (2-3), free for kids under 2
Details: Take part in interactive farm chores, crafts and wagon rides at Fosterfields Farm. Visit the 1915 farmhouse and check out the holiday food being prepared. At 1:00 pm, all U.S. military personnel and veterans will be honored in a special tribute.

Food Trucks on Main Street

When: November 15 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Details: Every third Thursday evening of the month, Medford now hosts Food Trucks on Main Street. Stroll the historic street that is lined with food trucks and help yourself to some dinner. Stores and restaurants will be open late with special sales and promotions, plus the Medford Arts Center will be on hand with fun activities.

Handmade in America Professional Craft Show

Details: For the fifth year in a row, the Handmade in America craft show will feature unique goods from New Jersey’s best crafters. Hand-blown glass, leatherworks, wood products, pottery and baskets are just a sampling of what’s available for purchase. Food, music, a 50/50 raffle, a Chinese auction and the children’s crafting area also add to the fun.

Holiday Light Show

Where: Historic Smithville & Village Greene, 615 E. Moss Mill Road, Smithville
When: November 22 to January 6 from dark to 8:30 pm, daily

Details: From Thanksgiving through the first week of the New Year, enjoy a festive holiday light show on Lake Meone at Historic Smithville. Each night as darkness falls, a showcase of orchestrated lights and music delight visitors of the village. Stroll around the shops or have a bite to eat during the holiday season.

Dickens Days

When: November 23 through November 25 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Details: Enjoy a festive walk through downtown Clinton and interact with live performers playing Scrooge, Charles Dickens and Father Christmas. Live music, holiday lights and decorations, plus horse drawn carriage rides will all be on hand as you kick off the Christmas season. Don’t miss the tree lighting ceremony November 23 at 6:30 pm!

Stone Harbor Island Holiday

Details: It’s a weekend full of fun holiday events during the annual Stone Harbor Island Holiday celebration! Activities include a scavenger hunt, a pet parade, bonus events for the whole family, plus holiday shopping on Small Business Saturday. And for the grand finale, the Stone Harbor Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 pm on Saturday.
