Business Tips from Randi Zuckerberg
Randi Zuckerberg, Editor-in-Chief at Dot Complicated and Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media (and, yes, Mark’s sister), sat down on a segment of One-on-One with Steve Adubato to talk about her career in the tech business and to share some advice with women entrepreneurs in particular.
During her time working for Facebook out in Silicon Valley, California, Zuckerberg was often the only woman in the room at big meetings and conferences. In her pursuits today, she attempts to break that trend and inspire both women entrepreneurs and future generations.
She explains: “I got used to putting on that thicker skin, of kind of toughening up, of being the woman in the room. But it really made me feel like, ‘Okay, I have a responsibility to encourage that next generation of female entrepreneurs and to mentor, hand-hold them, invest in them, give them that leg-up, so that a generation from now I’m not the only woman in the room.’”
