Boardwalk Block Party

When: May 26 – Tropicana Casino & Resort
Details: The Tropicana kicks off the summer season with a fun-filled, boardwalk bash sure to thrill! This booming block party will feature food, live music, great giveaways and fabulous performances; highlights include a magician act, stilt walker, carnival dancers and the cast of the Tropicana’s own Boogie Nights dance crew. The celebration also marks the opening of two new swimming pools, restaurants, and a brand new bar in Chelsea Tower. Plus, it signals the start of the casino’s free summer fireworks series which will light up the night sky. The fireworks will continue every Saturday through September 8th at 10:00 pm.

Gordon Ramsay Steak Grand Opening

When: Memorial Day Weekend – Harrah’s Resort
Details: Award-winning, world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay is spicing things up at Harrah’s this summer. Gordon Ramsay Steak is an exceptional dining steakhouse experience with selections hand-picked by Ramsay’s talented culinary team. It is Ramsay’s second restaurant in Atlantic City. The menu also features Beef Wellington and savory seafood dishes, including New Jersey Diver Scallop Crudo; not to mention a decadent dessert assortment and an impressive wine and barrel-aged cocktail collection.

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bash

When: June 4 and 5 – The Atlantic City Country Club
Details: Golfers competing in the inaugural Atlantic City Boardwalk Bash have plenty to look forward to. The annual event, part of the World Long Drive Tour, is being held in AC for the first time. (You can tune in to the Golf Channel on June 5th to watch it live.) Male and female competitors participate to earn Official World Long Drive Ranking points; but more specifically, a spot in the Volvik World Long Drive Championship is on the line. Golfing fans are in “fore” a great tournament!

Summer Opening of the Observation Wheel

When: June 15 – Steel Pier
Details: Get ready for some wheel fun this summer; June 15th is the grand opening of the 227-foot high Observation Wheel at Steel Pier. Who wouldn’t want to ride the third largest Wheel in the U.S.? Especially one which features 40 temperature-controlled gondolas offering spectacular views of Atlantic City. Each gondola seats up to six people for the 15-minute ride. The Observation Wheel is currently open on weekends, but will begin running daily in June. There is a “sunset party” taking place every night after the grand opening.

Summer BeachFest Concert Series


When: July 1 and July 29 – Atlantic City Beach
Details: It’s time to celebrate the start of the Atlantic City BeachFest Concert Series! This time around, singer Sam Hunt will headline the annual beachfront music fest on July 1st; he will be accompanied by special guests Kane Brown and Connor Smith. Next, Demi Lovato will be performing in her only east coast show of the summer on July 26. At the tail end, The Chainsmokers will cap off the series on July 29th, with special guest Bazzi. Tickets are general admission, with special VIP packages available.

Atlantic City Vegan Food Festival

When: July 13 and 14 – Showboat Atlantic City
Details: Get ready to veg out at Atlantic City’s very first Vegan Food Festival, hosted by New Jersey VegFest. The festival features 200 vegan-friendly vendors and special guest speakers, including best-selling author and athlete Scott Jurek. James Beard Award-winning chef Bryant Terry will also make an appearance. The event boasts cooking demos, live entertainment and a 10k/5k run on the boardwalk. Vegan Drag Queen Honey LaBronx will also host an adults-only party Saturday evening in the Showboat hotel ballroom.

New Jersey FamilyCon

When: July 19 – July 22 – Showboat Atlantic City
Details: There are plenty of activities planned for the entire family at Atlantic City’s first-ever FamilyCon expo. The fun-filled, four-day event includes live entertainment, toy exhibits, and virtual reality demonstrations kids will love. Furthermore, adults can enjoy panel discussions, family escape rooms and beach activities including a FamilyCon Board-Walkathon; there will also be a puppy fashion show and a VIP pool party. Tickets range from $10 to $20 for single or multi-day passes.

Sunset Party with Wolfgang Puck

When: August 11 – The Borgata
Details: Foodies will have plenty to dish about at the Savor Borgata Culinary Series sunset party; in particular, the event is hosted by celebrity chef and legendary culinary master Wolfgang Puck. The outdoor food festival features a palette pleasing, poolside Pan-Asian barbecue at the Borgata’s beautiful Water Club. Tickets are available online beginning June 1st.

Atlantic City International Airshow

When: August 22 – Atlantic City Beach and Boardwalk
Details: The Atlantic City Airshow offers high-flying aerial maneuvers with the return of its famed annual airshow. In fact, this fan favorite attracts thousands of viewers with thrilling performances from amazing aircrafts roaring above the boardwalk. For 2018, the airshow is welcoming the Canadian Forces Snowbirds to its already impressive lineup.
