Many modern breweries have the feel and décor of an industrial-type building. However, Seven Tribesmen Brewery in Wayne feels more like a farm home. Which is exactly what it used to be – among other things – before becoming a craft brewery and beer garden.
The interior of Seven Tribesmen Brewery sports a comfortable couch along with Victorian-esque chairs. “We’ve taken great care in creating a cozy and inviting taproom through the eclectic array of furniture, unique wall coverings, intricate tile work, and our signature hand-carved tap handles,” says owner Laszlo Varga. “We regularly receive comments that our space is welcoming, homey, and charming. We want our guests to enjoy spending time in our taproom and look forward to returning time and again.”

Where to Sit and What to Order
Their 2,000-square-foot taproom can hold 35-45 guests. In addition, their second floor will soon be able to seat another 30-35 people. Meanwhile, their seasonal beer garden is open from April through November. When available, the pet-friendly outdoor area offers corn hole, giant Jenga, picnic tables, and nearly a dozen bistro tables. All together, there’s space for up to 125 patrons outside. Even when the beer garden is not available, Seven Tribesmen Brewery has counter seating on their deck.
Seven Tribesmen Brewery offers both rotating and mainstay taps. Options like Pines Lake Pils (German Pilsner), Hop Gambit (New England IPA), and Game On (American Lager) are always available; either on tap and/or in 16oz. to go cans. One fan favorite in particular is their blood orange blonde ale, Blood Oath. “We rotate through our tap offerings with multiple monthly releases,” Laszlo says. The brewery likes to “introduce our patrons to as many beer styles of the world as we can. We like to say, ‘Every beer deserves the limelight.’”

About Seven Tribesmen brewery

The Woodworker is another one of their brews, which pays homage to the building’s former tenant, a woodworker.
Beyond serving patrons throughout the week, Seven Tribesmen Brewery can also host corporate holiday parties, birthdays or weddings. They offer pricing packages to accommodate any budget and party size. “Whether you’re looking to reserve a private room, the entire taproom, or the beer garden; we can accommodate a vast array of parties,” Laszlo says.

Laszlo has a background in aviation management. His hobby of home brewing turned into a passion and eventually led to opening Seven Tribesmen Brewery. In fact, the brewery’s founders are all Hungarian-American childhood friends. “The name Seven Tribesmen is a reference to our cultural heritage and defines our goal of building a local, New Jersey craft beer tribe.”
