Workouts at OHM Fitness boast results that are three times faster than the typical gym workout. In fact, they can cram results similar to a two-and-a-half hour workout into just 25 minutes. The secret is their OHM EMPower Suit, A wireless suit that uses Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS). It delivers deep, rapid contractions of all major muscle groups the entire time users are wearing it.

The OHM Fitness Experience
Once suited up, members hop into one of the gym’s 15 daily classes for a truly revolutionary workout. Instructors lead a low-impact, bodyweight workout with no heavy weights or equipment necessary. Why does it work so well? A traditional exercise, like a bicep curl, results in approximately one muscle contraction per second. But the EMPower Suit stimulates up to 85 muscle contractions per second.
Owners John and Janet Mok say the workout is ideal for most people, with only three exceptions. Those that are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have magnetic metal in their body cannot use the EMPower Suit. Other than that, it is suitable for anyone in the 25-65 year age range.
OHM Fitness offers memberships that grant unlimited access to classes with the use of the EMPower Suit. Members also receive eight Red Light Therapy sessions per month and one STYKU 3-D Body Scan.
The Moks are aware of skeptics, and have a simple response to those on the fence about trying OHM Fitness. “Every one of us was a skeptic until we tried it,” Janet explains. “OHM Fitness really is revolutionary and a game-changer. It was very gratifying to see and hear the positive reaction of our members when they first tried OHM classes and the EMP Suit, and now, just five to six weeks later they are even more satisfied with what they are experiencing and the results.”
About the Business
The 2,500 square foot gym has a fresh, modern vibe. Multi-colored lights in the gym sync up with the various levels of member workouts. For instance, the room displays red lights during peak workout moments and soothing blue lights during cooldown.
Prior to opening OHM Fitness, the Moks owned three European Wax Centers and two Amazing Lash Studios, all in Bergen County. Future plans include opening a second OHM Fitness location in Wayne.
