The vibe is very much classic 1920’s barbershop, but the amenities are hyper modern. “It has a vintage charm with an art deco elegance,” says Owner Hussein Bayan. Their concise menu specializes in custom cuts, buzz cuts, beard trims, and hot towel shaves.

About Dean Wes Barbershop
Hussein has been working as a barber in Hoboken for eight years, previously at Mark Daniel barbershop. He was motivated to get into the hair business because of his mother and uncle. (They own Zayna’s Cuts for Kids, a kids’ salon in Pompton Lakes.) “I quickly fell in love with the culture of the barbershop,” Hussein says. “I’ve developed connections and friendships with some amazing people over the years. The most rewarding part of being a barber is the ability to make people feel confident, refreshed, and seen. Both in how they look and how they feel.”
Hussein owns Dean Wes with his wife, Dina. The duo are high school sweethearts from New Jersey who’ve been married for 15 years. The barbershop is named after their oldest son whose first name is Dean and middle name is Wes. “We’re excited to see the business grow,” Hussein says.
