NJ’s Best Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events

This article is sponsored by All Women’s Healthcare.

It’s no secret at this point that breast cancer is a nasty disease that affects about one in eight women around the world. More than 200,000 individuals are diagnosed each year in the United States alone. When one woman is diagnosed with the disease, however, many more suffer; family and friends flock to their loved ones in support, but as a community we can do more.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985 as a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the pharmaceutical division of Imperial Chemical Industries (now part of AstraZeneca). Since then, breast cancer awareness has been heavily promoted every October, and organizations and individuals throughout the country work to support those battling breast cancer.

The following events and fundraisers are just a few of the great ways in which New Jerseyans are helping to make a difference for everyone who suffers from this harrowing disease.
