The Jersey Shore is a great spot for some rest and relaxation. This is something the new Shorebreak Cafe in Sea Isle City knows very well. That’s why their menu is full of nostalgia and comfort in every bite. The eatery offers sit-down and takeout options, and every item is made in house.
The 1,500-square foot Shorebreak Cafe is “coastal chic and oh so sweet inside,” according to Amy Glancey; Chief Marketing Officer for Shorebreak Resorts. “When you walk inside, you are greeted with the sweet smells of our homemade treats,” she adds. The cozy interior can seat 8, in addition to 30 guests outside.

A Menu Made for Lounging
Shorebreak Cafe specializes in made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, homemade pastries, and sweet treats. In particular, patrons love the crumb cake, with extra-large crumbs and powdered sugar atop moist and buttery yellow cake. Likewise, the “PB-N-J” croissants are a hit; Shorebreak Cafe stuffs a classic croissant with fresh raspberry jam and a creamy peanut butter filling. In fact, Amy has trouble selecting a favorite item because “Everything is so good,” she says. “It would be way too hard to choose just one.”
However, Amy says the Shorebreak beach buns are a must try. These treats boast layers of buttery brioche swirled with caramel pastry cream, topped with beachy glaze and white chocolate seashells. In addition, they serve LaVazza Coffee and have 16 ice cream flavors to choose from; including funfetti with blue icing swirl and Sea Isle Turtle.

Custom Treats & More
Shorebreak Cafe also accommodates custom orders for weddings, showers, birthdays, and special events. They can create anything from pastries to cupcakes, cookies, and ice cream cakes. “The team will bring your vision to life,” Amy says.
The head baker is Dana Iannelli, a Southern New Jersey native who says the Jersey shore is her second home. Dana has dual pastry and culinary degrees from The Culinary Institute of America. Her experience includes working in bakeries across the nation, and competing on the Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship.
