Ludlam Bar & Grill Brings Food & Fun to Sea Isle City

Sea Isle City continues to revitalize its restaurant and shopping district. One such addition is the newly-rebranded Ludlam Bar & Grill (formerly the Beach Bar at The Ludlam). With a new vibe, new kitchen, and brand new menu, this spot offers a family-friendly atmosphere; as well as nightly entertainment and daily drink specials.

The 5,000-square foot Ludlam Bar & Grill is open for the 2022 summer. But they plan to close for the fall to complete the final phase of their renovation. “Our hope is to bring the guests of Sea Isle City the best shore experience possible by continuing the revitalization of the iconic corner of Landis Avenue and JFK Boulevard,” says Chief Marketing Officer for Shorebreak Resorts, Amy Glancey.

Ludlam Bar & Grill offers spacious outdoor seating for over 170 guests. Meanwhile, their indoor lounge is primarily for nighttime entertainment on holiday weekends and ticketed events like concerts.

What to Order

“We serve American cuisine, inspired by Sea Isle City,” Amy says about the menu. In particular, they offer appetizers, fresh salad selections, pizzas, handhelds, platters, and desserts. Of course, Ludlam Bar & Grill also offers daily drink specials and weekday Happy Hour deals. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The drink menu features local favorites like LaCosta Lemonade and Sea Isle Spiked Iced Tea. Daily specials range from Slushie Sundays and Margarita Mondays, to Wine Down Wednesdays and Lite Nite Thursdays.

Beach Town Tacos

At the moment, popular menu items include their signature beach town tacos; which give guests a choice between three beer battered haddock or ahi tuna tacos served over sweet chili mango slaw. “They’re flavorful and perfect for dining outside at the shore,” Amy says. Likewise, other classic beach time favorites include the crispy shore chicken, crab cakes, and chicken skewers. “Our new menu has something for everyone,” Amy explains. New for Summer 2022 at Ludlam Bar & Grill are the Sunday Jazz Brunches. Drink options during brunch include bloody marys, mimosas, or Shorebreak coldbrew martinis. As for the food, the menu features avocado toast, breakfast pizza, house-made granola bowls, and their signature crumb cake. In addition, the live “jazz” in Sunday Jazz Brunch will be provided by a rotation of jazz musicians each week.

About the Owner

Owner Christopher Glancey, Amy’s husband, grew up spending summers in Sea Isle City and fell in love with the town. He continues to develop and open businesses throughout Sea Isle City as well as Ocean City under Shorebreak Resorts. In fact, you’ll find the family — kids included — working at both Ludlam Bar & Grill and Shorebreak Cafe this summer.
