Tired of the frequent family arguments about what to eat for dinner? Thanks to International Bites in Ocean Township, those days are over. This spot brings five different dining experiences, each with their own menu, under one roof. It’s sort of like those soda machines that have dozens of different drink combinations all in one place.
The five restaurants at International Bites include House of Poke, Tumi Peruvian II, Mexitacos, Beach Burger, and Ocean Pizza. “We are a combination of a food hall and a ghost kitchen,” says owner Dean Rice; who also owns the building. For example, each restaurant has their own station in the kitchen. “We bring together five restaurateurs under one roof, each an expert in their cuisine,” he explains.

How it Works
Guests can peer into the International Bites kitchen through large windows while they order and sit. The concept is primarily takeout-driven, but can seat up to ten indoors. In addition, Dean is planning seasonal outdoor seating at picnic tables on the grassy area beside the building.
Of course, International Bites offers both takeout and delivery. Each restaurant uses their own third-party apps for delivery; however, International Bites itself is available on Uber Eats, Doordash, and Grubhub. Choosing to order from the latter allows patrons to combine dishes from multiple eateries on a single order.

The Menus
Each restaurant offers something different. For instance, Tumi Peruvian serves ceviche, Peruvian stir fry, and Jalea. Owner Kevin Arnaiz also runs the original location in Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Keith Burney’s Beach Burger offers burgers (of course), Italian hot dogs, and Korean fried chicken. They also serve Beyond burgers and a variety of milkshakes. Besides Beach Burger, Keith owns a Stewarts Root Beer in Matawan.
Then there’s Mexitacos, with options like the seafood quesadilla, tacos al pastor, and steak burrito. This eatery also serves corn tortillas as a gluten free option. For those in the mood for Italian, Ocean Pizza is the place. They specialize in options from pizza to chicken parm and penne vodka. In particular, Dean recommends the pepperoni stromboli from Ocean Pizza. Romeo Flores owns both restaurants.

Finally, House of Poke offers poke bowls such as the Slammin Salmon Bowl and Tuna Lovers Dream Bowl. They also have poke nachos with homemade wonton chips, spicy tuna, avocado, special sauce, teriyaki, scallions, sesame seeds, and masago. Natalie and Alan Feld own the spot, which has another location in Old Bridge.
