Residents of Ocean City and tourists alike have a new spot for their salad fix. Gail’s Salad Co. provides eight signature salads which each offer a different mix of flavors. The 250-square foot spot is strictly takeout. However, they have three tables on the sidewalk that can seat six. Tim Janicki, CEO, describes the interior as “bright, vibrant, scented with fresh herbs.”
All eight of the signature salads at Gail’s Salad Co. are crowd pleasers. The Strawberry Fields salad features mixed greens, spinach, strawberries, walnuts, feta, dried cranberries, and grilled chicken with balsamic vinaigrette. Meanwhile, the Cabo Fresca includes romaine, corn salad, black beans, sharp cheddar, tortilla strips and grilled chicken with chipotle ranch. Other salads include California Cobb, Mediterranean Caesar, Big Greek, and Asian Crunch, as well as the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Janicki says his favorite is the California Cobb.

Gail’s Salad Co. freshly grills their chicken with a special seasoning blend. In addition, they can substitute chicken for vegan proteins like chickpeas, black beans, avocado, quinoa, or hemp seed. They also offer a build-your-own salad option. Otherwise, for large groups, you can order a family box which serves up to six people. As a bonus, family box orders include whole-wheat rolls and a free bottle of dressing.
Of course, no salad is complete without the dressing, and Gail’s Salad Co. has six homemade dressings to choose from; including balsamic vinaigrette (vegan), miso ginger vinaigrette, lemon basil vinaigrette, chipotle ranch, roasted garlic Caesar, and green goddess (vegan). All of their dressings are gluten free and you can buy your favorites by the bottle.
Gail’s Salad Co. was founded by the startup group, Virgo, owned by Tim Janicki, Benjamin Haberman, David Joslin II, and Sean Collins. Between the four of them, they have experience in the restaurant/food industry as well as business and marketing. The shop itself is run by Josie Reaney.
