A Day of Family Fun in Keansburg

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly day trip to the Jersey Shore, look no further than exit 117 on the Garden State Parkway. Keansburg boasts all the excitement that a beach town has to offer, minus major traffic and exorbitant fees. Keansburg is closer in proximity to NY and Northern NJ than other shore areas. Plus the beaches are free to enter and there’s a ton of boardwalk rides, games, and food.

Spend a day with the family at the Keansburg boardwalk without over-spending on summer fun.

Beach

Keansburg offers an admission-free beach, making it a great stopover for sand play, collecting shells and just soaking in the sun and views of New York. While there is no lifeguard on duty and the water is a little rough with natural debris, the free admission makes it worthy of enjoying some quality sand and sun time. You’ll find plenty of reasonably-priced metered parking, as well as available lot spaces.
