The Local Barre Social Club in Hoboken offers a space where women can focus on health, fitness, and wellness. It’s for moms who need a playful space to send their child during a workout or conference call; for women looking for a supportive community of peers; or just for a woman who wants to separate her workspace from her home.
Local Barre Social Club provides Barre classes – of course – as well as other women-focused services. For instance, the spacious club offers an infrared sauna, complete workspace, all-day nanny service, wine on tap, and more. The club boasts a vintage, 1920s-Speakeasy feel and promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellness. “Every detail within the space is carefully planned to keep within our speakeasy/art-deco vibe,” says LB Brand President Katie Knowles. “From the wallpaper to lighting to the images we project on the wall, we always have women in mind.”

The Benefits of Local Barre Social Club
Local Barre Social Club provides support for women at every stage of life. “The world is moving so fast and many times it is hard to take a conference call; fit your fitness class in, get your hair done, gather with friends and have a glass of wine; return your package you ordered online, find a nanny to watch over kids AND the list goes on!” Katie says. “We wanted to create a one-stop location that women could come in and feel supported.”
In addition to the services mentioned earlier, they also host social events and weekly spa and wellness services; including hair blowouts. “The Local Barre Social Club provides options for women to conquer our daily tasks and desires; to keep us both physically and mentally healthy and provides a supportive community to connect with,” Katie explains. “This gives women back more time and energy to focus throughout their day.”
