Barre3 Offers Mind and Body Workouts in Franklin Lakes

After an extended period of time spent working (and working out) from home, fitness centers are blossoming. For instance, the new Barre3 in Franklin Lakes provides members with ways to increase strength, reduce stress, and improve balance; as well as build a mind-body connection.

The Barre3 signature approach allows people of every fitness level to create sustainable change from the inside out. Instructors offer modifications throughout class, allowing members to exercise in a way that’s challenging and successful for their bodies. Their programs offer full body, balanced workouts combining strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness.

“By offering modifications for every move and empowering our clients to honor their own needs, we challenge each individual to build body positivity,” says owner Amy Billetz, who owns Barre3 in Franklin Lakes. “Every class is centered around empowering people to develop a strong, balanced body and mind.”

The Barre3 Difference

The Franklin Lakes location is open for in-studio classes after previously providing outdoor and livestream classes. In particular, the 2,175-square-foot space holds 26 barre stations, retail space, and a play lounge. Amy describes the space with words like “welcoming, relaxed, spa-like, pristine modern, light airy, upscale, and minimal.”

As for the workouts, their signature class uses heart-revving large-range moves and muscle-building isometric holds; in addition to grounding guided breathwork. “The workout is consistently great, but above all, I really love the connection,” Amy says. “We connect to our breath, our minds, our bodies, and with each other. I feel supported and inspired every time I walk into a Barre3 studio.”

Barre3 offers new clients their first class experience for free. In addition, “Barre3 also provides a play lounge staffed with a childcare provider for select morning classes. So kids are welcome,” Amy explains. However, usage of these services does require a reservation in advance.

About The Owner

Owner Amy Billetz is a New York native, but has called Franklin Lakes home for over 10 years. A mother of three boys, she is a former business executive; previously enjoying a successful 20-year career in national retail sales management. Amy discovered Barre3 workouts when a close friend invited her to a class for a twist on girl’s night out. She fell in love with the workout and Barre3’s mind-body approach to fitness. Not long after, she merged her love of business and Barre3, purchasing her own franchise. “The power of community is the heart of Barre3’s core values, and it’s what I enjoy the most,” Amy explains.
