Love is in the air! Valentine’s Day may be known for romance between couples, but New Jersey is no stranger to providing some fun and festive events geared towards families, too. Celebrate this February with one of the family-friendly New Jersey events listed below.

You’ll find unique crafts, horse-drawn wagon rides, a chocolate festival and more for the whole gang.

Crowne Plaza Englewood

When: February 9 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Price: $10 + taxes/fees for one cookie; $15 + taxes/fees for two cookies
Details: Decorate Valentine’s Day cookies with Blue’s Baking Bash. Eat them while you’re there or take them home! Decorate magnets and get a Valentine-themed photo with your family at the selfie station. Signed copies of Scrumptious Sweet Treats, a baking book for kids, will also be available for purchase.

Indians in Jersey City

When: February 14 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Price: $7 per child, free for adults
Details: Meet fellow members of the Indian community at this family party full of fun. Decorate heart-shaped cookies, make a craft, and watch a magic show. There is limited space for this event, however, so be sure to purchase tickets online.

Morris Museum

When: February 8 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price: Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children
Details: Experience a sweet day of festive fun during the annual Chocolate Festival at Morris Museum. This is your chance to visit with chocolate vendors and take home some sweet treats. Additional activities include a Touch the Music workshop, games, valentine card making and a special performance of Mystery and History of Magic.

AR Workshop Westfield

Where: 226 North Avenue West, Westfield
When: February 15 from 10:00 am to Noon
Price: From $15-$25, depending on the project
Details: At this kid-friendly Valentine’s Day Mini Wood Workshop, you can choose to make either a set of four love letter tiles, a felt boho arrow board, or a wooden valentine. Children ages 8 and up can attend without an adult.

Howell Living History Farm

Where: 70 Wooden’s Lane, Lambertville
When: February 15 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price: Free rides (though there is a fee for additional treats and activities)
Details: Celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family at Howell Farm. Take a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride, then warm up with hot chocolate by the fire. Valentine treats are available for purchase and artist Lauren Muney will be demonstrating the craft of cutting silhouettes by hand.
