There’s a new way to enjoy authentic Vietnamese Pho and other Asian delights in Passaic County. Teriyaki Bowl – Sushi & Ramen in Wayne offers Pho, poke bowls, sushi burritos, ramen, and more. The restaurant is the latest venture for an already successful New Jersey restaurateur.
According to Owner Tony Chen , the 2,000-square foot space is the first authentic Vietnamese pho restaurant in Wayne. Teriyaki Bowl can seat about 45 guests inside and uses self-ordering kiosks for streamlined service. The restaurant features an open kitchen with bar-stool seating, along with partially exposed brick walls and greenery. They even sell a selection of merchandise, including toys. Their official ribbon cutting with the Mayor of Wayne takes place on September 26 at 2:00 pm.

An Eclectic Menu to Please any Palate
Popular menu items at Teriyaki Bowl include the tonkotsu ramen. This creamy Tokyo-style pork bone broth includes thin noodles, black garlic oil, bean sprouts, scallions, bamboo shoots, fishcake, and a marinated egg. The brown sugar milk tea is also a hit with patrons. The milk tea comes with one free topping, such as strawberry boba.
But Tony’s favorite items are the beef combo pho and meteorite latte. The combo includes beef broth, rice noodles, thinly sliced beef, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime wedges, and hoisin or sriracha.
About the Owner
Tony runs 15 Asian restaurants across New Jersey and Long Island, including Pho Express in Hoboken. He also owns PokeStop in Pompton Plains, which opened in early August. His next restaurant — Bowls & Noodles — is coming to West Caldwell in October.
Thanks to the success of Pho Express, Tony decided to bring pho to his hometown of Wayne. A resident of Wayne for over 20 years, the restaurant is near Wayne Valley High School. (Where his kids attend school.) He thinks Teriyaki Bowl will be a good place for students to hang out and have lunch. He plans to put books for kids in the space as well. “I love Wayne,” he says. “I wanted to bring something different to my hometown.”
