The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, Bergen County is known for high-end stores and quality restaurants. So it’s no surprise that the mall’s new eatery, LT Bar & Grill, also fits the bill. Michelin Star Chef and Restaurateur Laurent Tourondel (LT) is the owner, and also helms the kitchen.
The spacious spot boasts 15,000-square feet between two floors, including LT Above. On its own, LT Above is a cosmopolitan and chic venue with 8,000 square feet of adaptable event space; which can hold up to 250 guests. LT says both spaces offer a casual chic ambiance that’s bright and light. In addition to indoor dining, they offer seasonal outdoor patio dining surrounded by lush landscaping.

The LT Bar & Grill Menu
When you visit LT Bar & Grill, expect an ultra-modern take on traditional American cuisine. This means options such as innovative salads, dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood, and decadent desserts. Popular items include the filet mignon, grilled branzino, truffled stand up mac and cheese, sushi, and poke. “We have a menu with variety,” says LT. As for his favorite menu item, “I like them all,” he says. “How could I not?” The weekly specials, however, may end up stealing the spotlight. “These dishes are inventive and often highlighted with seasonal produce,” LT adds. In total, LT Bar & Grill serves brunch, lunch, dinner, sushi, and dessert. Likewise, they have an equally expansive drink menu. This includes handcrafted cocktails, beers from around the world, and an extensive wine list. In fact, “every syrup and flavor is made in house,” LT reveals. At the moment, cocktail favorites include the Mezcal Southside and Rum Punch Bacardi. Then there’s the LT Spritzer which offers a choice of gin or vodka, with lemon and giffard crème de violette. About the Owner
LT earned a culinary degree in his native country of France. After working for notable chefs in France and Moscow, he then held executive chef roles in NYC and Vegas. His first venture into ownership, BLT Steak, now boasts multiple locations around the country. His other restaurants include BLT American Brasserie in Chicago and BLT Prime New York. He is also a published author, with three cookbooks.
