Spring Style

As the clocks spring ahead so does spring style. This spring as the sky gets lighter and brighter so do our bags. Choose from a variety of fabrics and colors instead of your basic black, tan or white leather. From orchid to mint, plaids and flowers to patterns galore, the more “pop”, the better. Just be sure you don’t skimp to save a penny on your bag because, as they say, “cheap is always more expensive.”

Spring Style Fashion Tips

As far as casual dressing, fringe, fringe everywhere a fringe. Whether jackets and jeans, scarves, purses and boots, fringe is hot on everything, even on shorts and skirts!
The theme should be overall playful and feminine. Layer with tees and lacey little shirts then throw a sheer jacket on top. The new combo is lace and sheer material with denim and leather or suede to create a soft yet strong look.

When it comes to dressing up, monochromatic is all the rage. Dress yourself in solid red. Full outfits all in one bright color will have you standing out from the crowd. Jumpsuits are also trending. Just be sure to complement them with an exciting bag or belt.

Ponchos are also hot. They now come in different styles, materials and patterns with lots of colors and textures. This versatile and comfortable throwback from the 60s and 70s is especially forgiving for ladies with major curves.

And straight from the 80s, the shirt-dress is back so instead of “boyfriend” jeans, the style now is the “boyfriend” shirt/dress. Cinch them at the waste with a statement belt for that smart, casual look.

Brightly colored sneakers are the new upscale, and they’re not just for working out. Wear them with your skirts and suits for a casual-chic touch.

For hair this spring, the bob is back and bold. Soft light layering adds the texture you need to keep your hair afloat, so your cut is light and bright this season.

If you’re not into short hair, the “Old-Hollywood” look is gorgeous. Sleek yet with waves and curves in all the right places gives that elegant, sophisticated touch to a special evening out.
Lastly, shoes are moving away from the gladiator strappy look to one simple, thin strap across the toes and another around the ankles. Less is more in 2015. And remember, nude colors elongate your legs and are the perfect accent to a beautiful dress or jumpsuit.
