Tour de Farm New Jersey Spans Three Counties

For the past three years the Tour de Farm New Jersey has promoted good health and New Jersey’s local farms. “People are increasingly looking for locally sourced and grown goods. New Jersey has some incredible farms that not many people know about. With our three tours, they can visit the farms, get tasting of their products, do some shopping, and enjoy the beautiful countryside,” says Tour de Farm New Jersey Organizer Mitch Morrison.

2015 marks the first year for Tour de Farm New Jersey to encompass three counties. There are three cycling tours of various levels and farm tastings, complete with locally sourced breakfasts and Farm to Fork dinners prepared by area chefs. It is estimated that the three tours will bring 1,500 visitors to New Jersey. The Hunterdon County tour is August 2; the Sussex County tour is scheduled for September 6; and Warren County’s tour is September 19. Some of the farms on the tour may be offering special events or exclusive farm tours.
