The worldwide leader in bowling entertainment opened its newest location in North Brunswick this past weekend. Bowlero North Brunswick extends beyond the traditional bowling alley (which boasts 82 lanes), housing a laser tag arena, arcade, two full-service sports bars and lounging areas. For the venue’s grand opening, however, it also featured a very special guest.
Bowlero took over the location of Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes. Though most of the establishment has been updated and refinished, the company kept 34 traditional lanes that “retain all the charm of an old-school, league-inspired alley,” according to Bowlmor AMF, operator of more than 300 bowling alleys in North America, including Bowlero North Brunswick.
A Modern Twist on Bowling
Over one thousand people from throughout the area came out to experience New Jersey’s latest enthralling amusement center. To commemorate the event, Bowlero also invited 16-year-old Olympic gold medal gymnast, and New Jersey-native, Laurie Hernandez; who was eager to host the event and enjoy a round of bowling with ecstatic fans.
While countless guests came to try out the alley’s modern lanes, which feature custom lighting with movies and sports projected on the giant video walls, guests also loved battling friends in the enormous 3,500-square-foot laser tag arena. The arcade is also a huge draw for children and parents alike, offering traditional games like skeeball and basketball alongside all-new arcade games like World’s Largest Pac-Man and 4-player air hockey.
In between rounds of bowling and laser tag, guests are encouraged to take a break for a bite to eat, choosing from a selection of mouthwatering dishes like burgers, flatbreads and sandwiches. Bowlers can opt to have food delivered directly to their lane, so they can bowl a strike and scarf down a slice of pizza without skipping a beat.
Bowling Up An Appetite
For hungry bowlers, Bowlero offers a “Go Crazy” menu featuring a five-pound burger and a two-foot hot dog. Pizza lovers should be delighted by the Pizza Cupcakes, Pizza Cake and 28-inch Goliath Pizza. The menu also features several signature desserts, like the S’Mores Skillet.
At the venue’s full-service sports bar, guests can order food as well as alcoholic beverages, from draft beer to cocktails. For kids, they offer a variety of soft drinks and milkshakes.
Bowlero also houses two private event rooms and a private lounge, so hosting special group gatherings is easy; for example, Bowlero North Brunswick is great for a casual night out, a fun date, or a work event.
