Best of NJ Announces Dedicated Sports Section

Regular readers who frequent Best of NJ have recognized that our content coverage has expanded quite tremendously over the past six months. From creating new series like NJ Vocabulary and Yoga at Work, to publishing a dedicated college section with College 101, our mission is to offer something great for everyone; much like the Garden State does, itself.
Today, we’re proud to announce that Best of NJ is launching a dedicated Sports section! However, unlike most traditional sports content you may find elsewhere, we’re not going to focus on recapping games or posting score roundups. Instead, as our audience has come to expect, we’re going to create original, thought-provoking opinion editorials and engaging analysis columns. Even if you’re not already a fan or follower of sports, these topics will be interesting and entertaining, and might just spark a new interest. To tackle this major project, we’re equally excited to introduce Best of NJ‘s dedicated Sports Editor, Monte Perez, a name that will already be familiar to many NJ natives.
Monte PerezMonte Perez, AKA The Sports Whisperer, is a former stand-up comedian who has performed at famed comedy clubs like the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, Carolines Comedy Club on Broadway and The Improv in New York City. He is a former college and AAU basketball coach who was inducted into the Ramapo College Hall of Fame last Summer. Perez has already written over 375 articles across 10 websites. Currently, he is the Host and Producer of the Monte Cristo Sports Thing on WRNJ Radio in Hackettstown, New Jersey. To keep up with Perez, you can follow him on Twitter @montetjwitter11.
Those interested in reading the Best of NJ Sports section won’t have to wait long: Our coverage kicks off on May 20. Be sure to stay tuned to our social media channels (particularly Twitter and Facebook) to be among the first to read our exciting new content.
