The Muse ArtHouse Inspires Art & Creativity in Closter

The Muse ArtHouse in Closter is so much more than an art studio. It’s also a creative sanctuary for personal growth and wellness. In today’s fast-paced world, finding time for a hobby or creative outlet is essential for mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

That’s where The Muse ArtHouse comes in. Art offers a simple and affordable way to unplug and reconnect. “It’s restorative to put down your phone and spend time with a brush or clay,” says Sandra Fathi, Co-founder and CEO. The art school functions as an art studio, gallery, and creative gym.

More Than Just Paint and Brushes

At The Muse ArtHouse, visitors are encouraged to explore their creativity, try new mediums, and connect with others. The supportive space welcomes everyone from beginners and hobbyists to experienced artists. In addition, they offer an assortment of creative classes and hands-on experiences in both traditional and trendy art forms. Best of all, there is no judgment: just the joy of learning and creating something unique at one’s own pace.

Though classes are intended for all ages, the current schedule primarily caters to adults. Programming includes everything from casual sessions to structured learning. Visitors can also drop in during open hours and choose from up to 10 independent art experiences. Each session includes two hours of guided creative time.

For those seeking deeper engagement, The Muse ArtHouse also offers multi-week classes led by experienced instructors. Shorter 2–3 hour workshops let guests try new art forms and leave with a finished piece the same day.

The Muse ArtHouse also hosts special events like ‘Art Night Out‘ and ‘Brunch with the Masters. These social workshops offer a fun, casual way to get creative while enjoying BYOB drinks or food. Meanwhile, unique offerings like the Sneaker Customization Workshop appeal to both teens and adults.

Come Inspired, Leave Creatively Fulfilled

A common concern heard is ‘I don’t have any talent,’ which discourages people from trying something new. But both Sandra and Gala Oelsner (Co-Founder & CCO) believe anyone can be creative.

“Everyone can enjoy art,” says Sandra. “This isn’t about talent—talent is a skill that can be developed over time,” Gala adds. “This is about pursuing something for yourself, something that will bring joy, renewal and connection to yourself and others.”

“We hope participants enjoy the creative journey from beginning to end as they make art,” says Gala. “We want them to discover their voice, explore new ideas, and take risks without fear.”

Guests can also book select spaces for private events, offering a unique way to bond with friends, family, or coworkers.

“We want them to be inspired, motivated, and excited to keep creating,” adds Gala. “And to form connections that go beyond the studio.”
