Fans of vintage and designer clothing and collections living in Morris County are in luck. The Blue Iris Boutique in Chatham features gowns and evening wear, plus rare and collectible pieces from renown designers. Browsing the shop feels just like stepping into a different era.
The Blue Iris Boutique is a 1,350-square-ft lifestyle boutique of multi-line designers and vintage collections. They carry modern lines such as Momonì, Meimeij, Nude, Lanvin, Alberta Ferretti, Lapeyre, Iris Setlakwe, and Chie Mihara. Meanwhile, their vintage collections feature rare and collectible designers such as Dior, Givenchy, YSL, Balenciaga, Gucci, Valentino, Zegna, and more.

A Unique Boutique Experience
“Every piece is intentionally curated — not just for style, but for story — and paired with personal styling expertise,” Iris says. Iris is the CEO, curator, and creative director of The Blue Iris Boutique. “Shopping here isn’t about chasing trends or rushing through; it’s about slowing down, savoring the details of The Blue Iris Experience, and building a collection that feels entirely your own.”
Each curated season collection brings standout pieces. In particular, Iris loves the boutique’s vintage gowns and evening wear. “All my favorites have found their perfect homes,” says Iris. “While I miss them, it brings me joy knowing they went to clients who appreciate them as much as I did.”
A Long History
The building The Blue Iris now occupies has been standing since 1780. Iris says one of her favorite discoveries was learning it was a Helen Elliot Chocolate & Candy Shop in the 1960s. Personally, she has memories walking past it while attending Dance Innovations at six years old.
Iris refreshed the space inside and out, carefully preserving its historic character. “The boutique is a curated reflection of my personal memories and travels. Every piece of furniture, every display, every detail holds meaning,” she says. One of her favorite touches is a collection of 1950s Il Tempo magazines she curated while living in Firenze; which she later repurposed as wallpaper along the staircase leading to the vintage section.
About The Owner
Iris loves running The Blue Iris. “The most rewarding part is seeing my vision come to life, mentoring my team, connecting with inspiring women in the community, building meaningful business relationships, and directing and styling our creative media photo campaigns.”
She holds a master’s degree in Creative Direction from Polimoda, Firenze, Italy, where she was mentored by Kris Van Assche. “My greatest mentors, however, have been my parents,” she explains. “Growing up with entrepreneurial parents, I admired how they built a world of their own through hard work, creativity, and artistry. These lessons continue to inspire me today.”
