Finding the right name for a business can be tough. But for Taylor Swift fans – aka “Swifties” – Kristen Attanucci and John S. Badgley, naming their cat grooming business came naturally. Given their adoration for the pop star, and that Taylor Swift is famously a cat aficionado, Swifty Cats fit perfectly.
Swifty Cats in Hoboken provides cat grooming services for all types of cats. Their most popular services are a full-coat groom for both short and long-haired cats. Other trending options include deshedding, and the comb cut for long-hair cats. Kristen personally loves the teddy bear cut and kitten clip.

Why Choose Swifty Cats?
“I enjoy making the cats feel and look great,” Kristen says. “I love when their owner tells me later how much happier their cat is at home; and some are even more affectionate after their grooming appointments with me.”
“Some cats will head bunt me after they’re finished (a sign of affection),” she continues. Others “look lovingly at me while they get a warm soapy water massage in the bath; or make biscuits on the table after being combed. These are my favorite moments.”

Both Kirsten and John have always loved cats. “Cats are amazing, intelligent, empathetic, and loving animals,” says Kristen. “Cats are often misunderstood, and they’re underserved. I’m always learning from them. I want to help as many cats and cat parents as I can.”
About the Owners
Kristen attended the Vet Tech Institute and practiced in Pennsylvania before moving to Hoboken. She worked at local vets and still works two days a week at Animal Infirmary of Hoboken. She is a member of the National Cat Groomers Institute. Kristen is certified in fear-free grooming and trained in pet first aid. “My education in feline behavior and grooming combined with my animal nursing experience makes me stand out,” Kristen explains. “I’ll always do what is best for your cat.”
John has lived in Hoboken since 1999. The two met while waiting for coffee at a Starbucks in town in 2018, and have been together ever since.

Swifty Cats actually started inside the infirmary in December 2023. They moved to their new facility in May 2025. “Cats should have a place dedicated to just them, and that is what we did,” Kristen says. Future plans include feline-exclusive events and special offers for VIP clients.
