They say diamonds are forever, and now so are the accessories to match them. New Jersey now has it’s first-ever permanent jewelry store, Forever Welded Jewelry, open in Montclair. The jeweler custom sizes and micro-welds bracelets, anklets, necklaces, or removable chain rings to perfectly fit clients.
Forever Welded offers permanent jewelry selections made with 14k solid gold, gold fill, or sterling silver. The painless micro-welding process replaces a traditional clasp. For customers who change their mind, the jewelry can be cut off with pliers or sheers, and even reattached later on.

Bound Together
Owner Bianca Cabrera says two people often come together to get permanent jewelry. It may be a mother-daughter, sisters, a couple, or best friends. “It’s a great bonding experience,” Bianca says. Example ideas from previous customers include gemstones, a name, or a date put on unisex chains or matching bracelets. Guests can even bring in a picture of a signature and Forever Welded will transform it into jewelry.
Forever Welded Jewelry began as a mobile business in April of 2022. At the time, Bianca also had an office space in Morristown. Now, the modern-and high-end-looking brick and mortar boasts a 1,300-square-foot space in Montclair. Bianca leads an (almost) all-female crew consisting of her mother Sophie and her staff of warm and welcoming women. The only boy in the bunch is Bianca’s dog Bowie, a Maltese pup.
Fast Service, Lasting Jewelry
Forever Welded Jewelry offers both walk-in services as well as reservations by appointment. Bianca says most appointments take about 15 to 20 minutes. During this time, customers choose and design their jewelry. Shortly afterwards, the team takes measurements and begins zapping the jewelry on. Customers leave wearing their selections the same day. “People like the convenience that you can leave with it on the spot,” Bianca explains. “Unlike standard jewelry, which is often too big or too small, we get the size down to the ¼ inch.”
Besides their jewelry services, Forever Welded hosts private parties like girls’ nights in the store after hours or offsite. They can also set up a station at a bridal shower or a wedding. Bianca says it’s a great idea for events. “You don’t have to pierce yourself like a tattoo. It’s painless and you can always clip it off at home. You can even start with something permanent and if it doesn’t work, you can add a clasp.”
Prior to opening her business, Bianca earned a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology in college. But she became intrigued after attending a permanent jewelry popup event in New York City. While teaching herself the business, she crafted her own permanent jewelry; including a charm necklace with her initial, her mother’s initials, and a birthstone, and a big bracelet stack.
