NJ Can Now Bask in The Glow: A Jack O’Lantern Experience

The once green leaves are turning shades of yellow and orange; and the long days are sharing less sunlight. Make no mistake, Autumn is here. As we move through October, we slowly approach Halloween, a time when witches and ghosts go door-to-door in search of candy. But what is Halloween without Jack O’Lanterns? Thanks to The Glow, we don’t have to find out.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the month of October, Monmouth Park Racetrack plays host to The Glow: A Jack O’Lantern Experience. The extravagant event invites families, couples and friends of all ages to visit Oceanport and take part in the pumpkin fun.

Follow The Glow (of Jack O’Lanterns)

The event, which features a quarter-mile trail through Monmouth Park, boasts more than 5,000 different hand-carved Jack O’Lanterns. The Glow has everything from popular movie and music-themed designs to pumpkins carved in the shapes of animals and food. Of course, you can also find those classic smiley face Jack O’Lanterns, too. The event even allows visitors to witness the magic up-close, offering the opportunity to watch master carvers in action as they explain their craft.

The Glow’s exhibits are magnificent. The intricately carved Jack O’Lanterns illuminate the path as you traverse the spooky and mysterious grounds. The displays are enthralling, making for the ultimate Halloween wonderland.

The Glow: A Jack O'Lantern Experience

The thousands of pumpkins and Halloween exhibits are the event’s main draw, but The Glow also offers concession stands; each serving hot chocolate, fresh apple cider, and other goodies to enjoy while roaming around the grounds.

The Glow: A Jack O’Lantern Experience is both dark and bright at the same time. It exemplifies the uncanny essence of Halloween that we all love. This ghostly, majestic experience is certainly a blast for young children and teenagers, but parents will love everything The Glow has planned, too!

Advanced and VIP tickets can be purchased online via The Glow’s website, and parking in the Monmouth Park lot is free. There are only three more weekends of The Glow left, so don’t miss out.
