Trina’s Treats Ice Cream Parlour Opens in Lyndhurst

The popular Trina’s Treats, a chocolate and sweets shop in Lyndhurst, has expanded to include an ice cream shop. This boutique-style ice cream parlour sells a limited variety of specialty ice cream flavors, plus other dessert options. The expansion has been a longtime dream of Owner Katrina “Trina” Villani that has finally come to fruition.

The primary Trinas Treats location specializes in custom chocolate treats and dessert tables. However, the ice cream parlour is located in the space right next door. “When the space next door became available, it was the perfect opportunity to expand and open the ice cream parlour,” Trina says. Lyndhurst is her hometown and where she currently lives, so there is no better location.

Ice Cream & More

The inside of Trina’s Treats Ice Cream Parlour seats up to 15. Meanwhile, outdoor sidewalk seating is available for 4 guests on warm days. “Our ice cream parlour is very feminine with touches of pink, gold, and florals,” Trina describes. “I wanted to mimic our chocolate shop but add a hint of a classic ice cream parlour vibe with the black and white flooring.” They plan to add more florals out front come spring.

Trina’s Treats Ice Cream Parlour sells 12 hard ice cream flavors in either cups or cones; the menu includes cookie dough, sea salt caramel pretzel, and cake batter. They also have gourmet milkshakes, pink waffles and ice cream, cookie and ice cream sandwiches, and chocolate lava cakes. In particular, Trina loves the chocolate lava cake with chocolate chip mint ice cream. Ice cream pies are also on the menu, but their gourmet milkshakes are a hit right now. Popular flavors include Nutella Brownie and Reeses. “We’re always coming up with new ideas and keeping up with current trends to expand our menu; so who knows what the future will bring,” Trina says.

Gourmet Milkshakes

Any chocolate inside the ice cream parlour comes from the Trina’s Treats chocolate shop next door. “We’re always incorporating our treats into ice cream,” Trina says. For example, they have a chocolate-covered strawberry milkshake; likewise, patrons can add cake pops to their shakes or ice cream cones.
