Naming a restaurant isn’t always easy. But for The Bradford, a new rooftop lounge in Bridgewater, the name comes from owner Brad Honigfeld. Sitting atop AC Hotel Bridgewater – a Marriott property – this indoor-outdoor bar & lounge serves drinks & shareable plates.
The Bradford is a 7,000 square-foot, multi-room space that pairs craft cocktails and small plates. If you haven’t heard of AC Hotel Bridgewater, that’s because even the hotel is new. “It’s a brand-new space that we literally designed from the ground up,” says Brad; who is the founder, chairman, and co-CEO of Briad Management Services, Inc, which owns and operates The Bradford. “We had a lot of fun concepting The Bradford and creating the different environments within the space,” he adds.

Upscale Design, Cozy Feel
The guest experience is the most important thing at The Bradford. The chic and upscale venue can seat 328 guests, and offers a “sophisticated and energized vibe,” Brad says. The venue features multiple rooms, each with a different feel, as well as indoor and outdoor seating options. You’ll find “sleek floors, comfortable seating, and ample landscaping, giving The Bradford a modern yet sophisticated atmosphere,” Brad describes.
The outdoor area has fireplace heaters and covered dining areas. This allows The Bradford to host outdoor dining year-round. You’ll also find lots of natural light indoors, thanks to large windows; in addition to views of Somerset County and the Watching Mountains.
A Menu Made For Fun
The Bradford focuses on shareable dishes that keep guests trying new items throughout the meal. Menu favorites include shrimp cocktail, Mediterranean spiced meatballs with smoked eggplant and tzatziki, and crispy fried calamari. Meanwhile, popular entrees include the 14-ounce NY strip steak and The Bradford Burger. In particular, Brad’s favorite meal is the scallop crudo. “It’s so fresh and I really enjoy the taste of the ginger and lemon paired with the seafood,” he says.
As you might expect, The Bradford boasts a large liquor menu as well. The selection includes premium spirits, craft cocktails, wines, and draft beer options. They also offer seven different Japanese whiskeys. Unique cocktails include the Purple Paradise and Curious Cucumber. The spot also puts their own signature twist on classic cocktails; for instance, they offer a PB & J Old Fashioned.
