But previous highlights include the Harvest Chicken Salad Sandwich, BBQ Ribs and Farm Potato Salad, and the Baked Garden Frittata. The Kitchen at Beach Plum Farm is walk-in only, and does not accept reservations. Leave some extra time after brunch to explore the farm.
The Buttered Biscuit Cafe
Where: Bradley Beach
Details: The Buttered Biscuit Cafe prides itself on serving the best homemade, gourmet breakfast and lunch on the Jersey Shore. Unique options like their Hot off the Grill Crumb Cake and Maui Meg’s French Toast certainly help make their case. The latter is grilled banana bread with crushed Hawaiian macadamia nuts and toasted coconut. Another standout option is their Nova Scotia Scramble, with smoked salmon, red onion, and cream cheese. It’s sort of like having a deconstructed breakfast cream cheese bagel with lox.
Cardinal Provisions
Where: Asbury Park

(The two chefs in charge also host pop-up dinners at night.) Mouth-watering options include the Berries & Cream Skillet Cake, chicken and waffles, and vegan Bellissimo. The latter combines crispy buffalo cauliflower, tofu ranch, pickled red onion, and arugula on a toasty hoagie roll. Pair any option with a Blushing hibiscus iced tea to complete the brunch ensemble.
The Cracked Egg Cafe
Where: Galloway
Details: This neighborhood cafe with an open kitchen may be small, but it serves up substantial brunch options. The menu includes breakfast favorites like eggs, omelettes, pancakes, and waffles, along with their signature dish, “The Crackin’”. Other top specials include Strawberry Banana pancakes, chocolate chip Belgian waffles, and wild western omelettes.
Kelsey’s
Where: Atlantic City
Details: One of the last remaining brunch buffets in New Jersey, Kelsey’s carries the torch for a dying breed. Their weekend brunch (Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 3pm) comes with a few house rules to ensure a smooth experience. So be sure to check the rules upon arrival. Highlights from the buffet include mac and cheese, candied yams, fried chicken, red velvet waffles, cornbread and more. Outside beverages are not allowed, so we recommend ordering the Kelsey Flight to sample some of their most popular options.
Maeberrie Market
Where: Avon-By-The-Sea
Details: This small market and cafe is also one of the shore’s best spots for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Maeberrie Market is open from Wednesday – Sunday and seats first come, first serve with no reservations. They offer a next-level selection of sandwiches like Sausage, Egg, and Cheese, Fried Chicken, and the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. We recommend adding avocado to the latter for a perfect pairing with egg, cheese, and bacon. They also serve homemade sorbet, which guests can use to make their own frozen mimosas.
