A Deli-ghtful Menu
Popular items include home-made New York style pastrami, corned beef, brisket, roast beef, turkey and deli salads. In particular, Owner Michael Mousa loves their signature fresh, home-cooked roast beef. This roast beef is made in the oven using their original recipe. This freshly cooked, flavorful, tender, and juicy roast beef is piled high on any choice of bread. Likewise, Michael recommends the homemade hot pastrami, made in a steamer to create a hot, juicy, tender, and flavorful texture. Salads, sandwiches, and quick bites are also available in their grab-and-go case.

Besides typically deli favorites, Sam’s Delicatessen offers gluten-free bread. They also use third-party apps to provide delivery services.
About Michael Mousa
Michael’s father, Sam, opened the original Sam’s Deli in Boonton in 1991. Michael took over operations about 20 years ago before eventually selling the business in 2020. He originally opened a second location in Rockaway in 2012, but has now moved that deli to Summit. Michael has no direct connection to Summit, but has always loved the town. He says his father’s legacy lives on in every sandwich, salad, and meal.

Future plans for Sam’s Delicatessen include hosting private events and having a juice and smoothie bar.
