The owner of Rosalia’s Pizza in Berlin, Gabriela Uriostegui, knows that a lot of pizzerias are in the area. It’s not something she tries to hide from her customers. “I didn’t come to outdo the competition,” she says. “It was my husband’s dream to open a pizzeria. Now, his dream has come true.”
The 1,200-square foot Rosalia’s Pizza boasts beige walls and brick counters, and seats 25 to 30 guests inside. (There are also benches outside.) Walking in, guests might think the restaurant aims for a minimalist approach. But Gabriela says they’ve simply been too busy to hang any décor.

So far, fan favorite pies at Rosalia’s Pizza include the margherita and Buffalo pizzas. (Patrons can choose between Buffalo chicken and Buffalo ranch). However, pizza is only part of the menu. For example, one popular pasta dish is the Vodka rigatoni. Meanwhile, they offer a create-your-own sandwich menu; this comes with a choice of meat (like beef or chicken), cheeses, and veggies (such as peppers).
The large menu also boasts calzones, strombolis, wraps, paninis, hoagies, hot subs, seafood dishes, and salads. Gabriela, who answers the phone and acts as the hostess, doesn’t really have a favorite. “Pasta, wraps, cheesesteak, everything is good. I am here seven days a week and I am always trying something different every day,” she says.
About the Owners
Gabriela owns Rosalia’s Pizza along with her husband, Josue Ramirez. In fact, the name of the restaurant comes from Ramirez’s mother, Rosalia. After co-owning a restaurant in Oaklyn, NJ, the couple now focus their attention on their Berlin pizzeria. Josue mans the kitchen along with Gabriela’s uncle Ricky, who also has a restaurant background. “They cook with love,” Gabriela explains. “We don’t serve something that we won’t serve to our family.”
Future plans for the place include a rotating menu of specials. However, the menu is already quite expansive, so there is no shortage of options.
