There is no shortage of Ramen shops in the NJ area, but Muteki Ramen aims to top the competition. Now open in Hoboken, this new restaurant serves up the world famous Japanese noodle soup in an authentic style. The word Muteki means “invincible” in Japanese, an important quality when fighting for the affection of local Ramen lovers.
The 1,500-square foot Muteki Ramen offers what manager Derick Chan describes as “a modern design with Japanese décor”. The restaurant seats about 50 guests inside at full capacity, in addition to outdoor sidewalk seating for 12 more.

Ramen Noodles & More
As is most common, Muteki Ramen serves their noodles in either a savory chicken, pork, or fish-based broth; flavoring their dishes with soy sauce or miso and using toppings such as sliced pork, bean sprouts, and scallions. Their top-selling items include the signature Volcano Miso Ramen and Muteki Ramen. The former presents wavy noodles in a spicy miso broth and packs some serious heat. Meanwhile, the Muteki Ramen features thin noodles in chicken and pork broth. Click here (and scroll down) to see the full menu.
But Ramen isn’t the only thing on the menu, as Muteki Ramen also serves buns with various fillings. For instance, you can order tempura (fried shrimp and veggies) buns, chasu pork buns, and karrage buns. (Which are filled with juicy fried chicken thighs). The menu also has other options like salads and rice donburi, as well as desserts.
