Marty’s Burgers Brings Beef & More to Fort Lee

The Fort Lee dining scene just got a bit beefier. Open since September, Marty’s Burgers replaces Batten Ramen (the latter is in a new location). Despite the COVID-19 crisis, co-owner Marty believes now is the right time open the restaurant. “We decided to open now because we wanted to fill the void in the market for quality American food,” he says.

Marty has been a cook all around northern New Jersey. But he and his two partners have been wanting to open a burger joint in Fort Lee. According to Marty, the timing worked out; “It just so happened during COVID times that we were able to find a great spot to set up shop.”

Dining at Marty’s Burgers

At full capacity, Marty’s Burgers can seat 35 people. The décor resembles a classic burger shop, with vintage ads, high-contrast colors, and stainless-steel ordering counters. In addition, they have two light-up menu boards and one classic letter board for their main ordering system. Despite the classic design, a self-ordering kiosk brings a touch of modern tech to Marty’s Burgers. They don’t have outdoor dining yet, however, this is something they are working on.

A Beefed-Up Menu & More

Of course, a staple of the menu is their classic (fresh, never frozen) 5.5-ounce premium beef burger. Marty’s Burgers lets you build your own with free toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles; likewise, they offer $1.50 add-ons such as avocado or sautéed mushroom. They also have a number of signature burgers, including Swiss Shroom Dijon and Bacon Avocado. Their fresh hand-cut fries and crispy buttermilk chicken sandwiches are also fan favorites.

Marty's Burgers Menu

Marty’s Burgers offers gluten-free French fries (but no gluten-free buns), as well as an Impossible Burger for vegetarians; the latter also comes with melted vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. They don’t have a kids’ menu, however, kid-friendly options include grilled cheese, hot dogs, and mac and cheese. Finally, their milkshakes (chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry) and homemade banana pudding will satisfy any sweet tooth with one of their milkshakes.

Stop by Marty’s Burgers at 2024 Center Avenue in Fort Lee. You can also find them online for more info.
