A Unique Space
Marketplace, An Urban Eatery, which seats over 100 patrons, is accented by bold colors and walnut planks. While the establishment does not offer outdoor seating, patrons can enjoy the beautiful space that is “flooded with natural light that comes in through overhead skylights, giving it an outdoor feeling.” In addition, the Glenpointe campus itself has a 22,000-square-foot outdoor oasis known as “The Green”. This area is fully Wi-Fi enabled, allowing patrons to work and relax as they eat.
The gourmet food offerings at Marketplace, An Urban Eatery are sectioned into themed stations. Each has a witty name like the Daily Grind, Flour Shop, Choc-A-Lot, and Drink Up. The made-to-order salad bar, Some Like It Cold, features a long mirror just above the window. This allows customers to watch as the team freshly prepares each meal. Meanwhile, the “Fast + Fresh” area features a fresh moss wall. This exemplifies the quality of Marketplace’s grab ‘n’ go meals, which they prepare daily.

A Modern Menu
The mix of menus all share a common thread of fresh and locally sourced ingredients, as well as international inspiration. Executive Chef AJ Buchanio is the mind behind each menu, with over 10 years of experience in prominent US restaurants. “We wanted to make sure our offerings represent our diverse tenants and the Teaneck community,” Carolina says.
For instance, her favorite dish at Marketplace, An Urban Eatery is the Mumbai Bowl. It’s sweet potato, curry cauliflower, lentils, carrots, and mint chutney with grilled steak. The dish is “out of this world,” as she describes. Vegetarian options include fresh veggie bowls, while gluten-free goers have made-to-order options like fresh hand-tossed salads. They also have a designated gluten-free section with gluten-free snacks.
