Lucco Cucina Brings Fresh Italian Cuisine to Florham Park

A new Italian eatery in Morris County is promising to delight your palate. Florham Park’s Lucco Cucina & Bar, open since June, 2018, is part of the Park Restaurant Group. The group has restaurants throughout New Jersey, but Lucco Cucina & Bar is their first Morris County spot. Not just a dine-in experience, they also offer delivery and takeout, and can host various group sizes.

“Our ownership lives in Florham Park,” says Angela Russo, general manager. “They saw the need to bring a new fresh concept to the dining scene within the town.”

More From Best of NJ

Florham Park Italian Restaurant, Lucco CucinaAs a modern Italian restaurant, Lucco combines classics with a contemporary touch and fresh local ingredients. For example, menu items include New York style pizza and their “Notorious P.I.G.” dish; which consists of roast pork and garlic herb ricotta, plus sweet and spicy peppers. Additionally, fresh salads options include one they call tri colore; it’s made with baby arugula, radicchio, endive, gorgonzola, pine nuts and lemon vinaigrette). Pasta dishes range from Linguini and Clams to Penne Vodka, as well as Cheese Ravioli.

Lucco Cucina offers Delicious Dining from Award-winning Chef

Executive Chef Anthony Russo has a history of preparing famous meatballs; in fact, he has won the title of “Best Meatballs in NYC” two years running, from CBS NY. According to Angela, the key ingredients are a veal pork and beef mixture. “From quality ingredients to the chef’s special spice, he has a special holding process that makes them so fork tender.”

The Spritz Bar, found at Lucco Cucina, offers a number of signature cocktails. Specifically, you can order a “Blame It on the Aperol,” which is Bombay sapphire, Aperol, fresh lemonade and club soda. Meanwhile, “The Smokey Faction Cocktail” combines Bulliet Rye Whiskey, Antica Sweet Vermouth and a dash of “Bitter Truth” orange bitters.

At Lucco Cucina, Italian Happy Hour/Aperitivo runs from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily, including weekends. In fact, Angela says the entire menu not only accommodates, but accentuates the idea of Happy Hour. Particularly, “guests wanting small bites or bar pies enjoy those items while sipping on cocktails from the drink menu.”

The restaurant & bar aims to offer guests a warm and lively environment. “We believe in providing legendary service,” says Angela. “Our goal is to provide unique and genuine personal care that our guests tell stories about around the dinner table.”

Early Praise

Florham Park Italian Restaurant, Lucco CucinaSo far, so good on that front, as Angela tells us that “the community has given us a great response.”

As for the interior, Lucco has a sleek design with comfortable seating, plus a 24-seat white marble bar. The main dining room is set in a lodge-style edifice with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. “You’ll find elements of tile, brick and stone as well as a dramatic cathedral wood ceiling,” says Angela. “The Edison Style Light chandeliers that hang from the cathedral ceiling invoke a lodge-style ambiance.”

You can find Lucco Cucina & Bar at 207 Ridgedale Avenue in Florham Park. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm. Then on Sunday, dinner service is from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
