Italian Restaurant Piattino Opens its Second New Jersey Location

Summit shines with culture and entertainment, and with Piattino opening its doors, the borough just got a little brighter. This traditional Italian restaurant features a dining area reminiscent of an elegant Brooklyn eatery and is fit for a number of outings, from romantic date nights to dinners out with friends. Likewise, there is even a separate dining room for a quieter dining experience.

In the heart of its main dining area is a full-service bar serving draft beer, wine, mixed drinks, and more. But Piattino’s main draw is its mouthwatering authentic Italian cuisine; in fact, each item on the menu is made with fresh, artisan ingredients and crafted in unique ways you won’t find anywhere else. In addition, the menu is loaded with pasta dishes with homemade sauces, fresh seafood options and juicy chicken and beef.

What’s on The Menu

For those with a large appetite, Piattino also offers a variety of salads and appetizers; options, for instance, like crispy calamari, stone-fired meatball sliders or rosemary and garlic chicken wings can start your evening. Meanwhile, delectable desserts like tiramisu, a broken cannoli bowl, or ice cream end your night right.

Of course, located in the back of the restaurant, Piattino’s own stone-fired, 800-degree oven churns out some outstandingly flavorful Neapolitan-style pizza pies and original “Sand-izzas.” Guests can keep it simple with the margherita pie and chicken parmigiana sand-izza, or switch it up a bit with the “Mezzaluna” (half pizza, half calzone) or the vegetarian option, “Vegetariana.”

Then, every day of the week, Piattino offers daily specials for lunch and dinner. Guests can also stop in for brunch every Saturday and Sunday when Piattino serves several tasty options; for example, they have Nutella French Toast and even a breakfast pizza with pulled mozzarella, pancetta, spinach, cherry tomatoes and egg yolk.

Why Piattino is Great

Similarly, Piattino caters to their guests, bringing warm Italian hospitality to the Garden State. For example, this neighborhood grill even lets visitors enjoy a “Do It Yourself” Charcuterie & Cheese board paired with one of their many crisp glasses of wines. Finally, during the warmer months, Piattino opens up a quaint outdoor patio.

This is Piattino’s second location in New Jersey, following their equally dynamic Mendham location. So come out to Summit for lunch, dinner, or brunch and enjoy delicious Italian cuisine with a modern twist.
