By Land Or Sea Brings BBQ & Seafood To Glassboro

Whether you’re in the mood for surf or turf, you’ll find something for either craving at By Land or Sea. The new restaurant is now open in Glassboro, and describes itself as a new age BBQ and seafood eatery. The spot, just down 95 South, is currently take-out and delivery only, though indoor dining is coming soon.

As for outdoor dining, Lead Restaurant Manager Nicole M. Jones says they are in the process of designing a paver deck along the side of the building. Tables and chairs will be able to seat about 80 guests, complete with tower heaters and televisions.

By Land or Sea Serves BBQ & Seafood

The menu at By Land or Sea aims to combine the flavors of classic BBQ and seafood dishes. For instance, they offer St. Louis-style pork spare ribs (as a half or full slab, platter, or sandwich). Meanwhile, snow crab legs include broccoli, corn, and potatoes. They also serve a family pack for $49; this comes with a full slab of pork or beef rib, two large sides, four sodas, and bread. Sides range from string beans and coleslaw to corn on the cob. In addition, they have kids’ meal options such as hot dogs and hamburgers, complete with fries and a drink.

Marcus Q. Lewis owns By Land or Sea. He’s a Glassboro native, who previously owned a Soul food restaurant in town. Lewis is also a veteran who has tasted various cuisines during his travels. “He wanted to bring a little bit of that experience to his hometown of Glassboro,” Jones says. With this in mind, the restaurant serves Lewis family recipes, passed down for generations. “We wanted to make sure people get some delicious food that will satisfy them and make them feel good during this crazy time,” Jones adds.
