Aloha Bowls Brings Smoothies & Tropical Island Vibes to Medford

The Owner of Aloha Bowls in Medford, Laura Wheeler, has always loved fresh fruit, colorful bowls, and smoothies; particularly when visiting the Jersey Shore with her family. So when it came time to start her own business in her hometown, she knew just what to do.

Aloha Bowls serves fresh fruit bowls and smoothies. Laura describes the 500-square-foot space as having a “beachy, laid back, and tropical vibe.” The casual eatery can seat 20 inside and 40 outside along the sidewalk and in their fenced in yard. To make Aloha Bowls even more inviting, Laura also added a cozy loft upstairs. She hopes guests will use the space to unwind, connect, and enjoy good food in good company.

Get A Taste of Island Life

Patrons can enjoy 12- or 16-ounce bowls with bases including acai, pitaya (dragon fruit, mango, pineapple), blue (coconut cream, pineapple, blue spirulina), and green (kale, banana, pineapple). Aloha Bowls also offers coconut bases with fresh fruit toppings. In addition to pre-designed bowls, the restaurant has build-your-own options.

But Laura’s favorite is the signature Aloha Bowl. It has an acai base and is topped with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberries, peanut butter, and Nutella. She also loves the Niu Breeze, a coconut base with granola, strawberry, banana, blueberries, cacao nibs, and almond butter.

Fruit Bowl and Smoothie

But bowls aren’t the only sweet treats at Aloha Bowls. Their creamy smoothies are all made with coconut milk. Customizable options include adding drizzles of coconut cream, raspberry, mango, or beet to any smoothie. Laura loves the Hula Hula smoothie, with strawberry, banana, and peanut butter. There’s also an option to add vanilla or chocolate protein to any drink.
