Overlooking the sparkling waters of Cape May Harbor in New Jersey, The Lobster House features attentive service and delectable cuisine. The kitchen at this lobster restaurant specializes in prime seafood that is brought fresh from the net and served up in style. The commercial fishing fleet at The Lobster House dock offloads and ships millions of pounds of seafood annually, and supplies much of the fresh seafood served at the restaurant.
Fresh Lobster on the Menu
Both the lunch and dinner menus at The Lobster House feature something for all to enjoy. You can sample appetizers like Crab Meat Cocktail, Escargot, and Fried Calamari. Soups on offer include Lobster Bisque, Clam Chowder, and Snapper Soup.
For your entree, you can choose from Baked Crab Imperial, Cape May Scallops, Fillet of Flounder, Fresh Lobster Tails, etc. For those not craving seafood, there are other options. These include New York Strip and French Cut Chicken, as well as a Vegetarian Plate.
The Raw Bar is housed in its own rustic sea-themed room, and is available from May to October. It features raw clams and oysters, Famous Crab Soup, hard shell crabs, lobster, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. There is also a take-out menu for those wishing to eat dockside or at home.
The Lobster House boasts five beautiful dining rooms. These range from small and intimate to large and ornate. Each room has its own unique, charming décor, but they all offer panoramic views of Cape May.
At The Lobster House, you’ll also find The Schooner American. This beautiful boat is the ideal spot to hold a cocktail reception, light dinner, or luncheon. Weather permitting, it operates from Noon to 10:00 pm, May through October.
