There’s no better time of year to show your appreciation for the one you love than on Valentine’s Day. February 14 is just around the corner and, with it, the pressure of planning the perfect night. This year, do something special and make a reservation that is sure to take your significant other’s breath away in the best way possible.
The views in New Jersey are incomparable. From the sea to the skyline, there are many ways to take in the sights. Below, you’ll find our list of the best spots to do so during one of the most special nights of the year. Enjoy!
Liberty House Restaurant

View: Liberty House Restaurant’s location alongside Liberty State Park provides a breathtaking view of the New York City skyline. Glance out the floor-to-ceiling windows over your glass of wine and catch a glimpse of New York City’s buildings cutting through the sky. Simply put: It’s beautiful.
Why I like it: In the warmer months, enjoy the view by dining outside.

View: Located directly on the beach of Long Branch’s well-known Pier Village, Sirena’s gives the illusion of being on some island in paradise (for those of you who don’t recognize the Jersey Shore as paradise). Eating delicious food next to a huge window overlooking palm trees, the beach and the ocean will make you think you’ve been whisked away to a tropical escape.

View: This is the closest you can get to the skyline without actually leaving New Jersey. The Chart House juts out into the Hudson River, putting diners directly on the water with panoramic views of New York City through floor-to-ceiling windows. I’ve been here many times, and the view is worth snapping a picture — each and every time.
Why I like it: Even Hollywood producers have taken note of the Chart House. It has been featured in movies like 1998’s The Object of My Affection, starring Jennifer Aniston.

View: Sit on the deck and immerse yourself in the stunning views of Twilight Lake.
Why I like it: This newly-opened restaurant is a view in itself, with gorgeous brickwork and handsome wood accents.

Location: 125 State Route 181, Lake Hopatcong
Menu: Like other waterfront establishments, Stone Water’s menu has a healthy offering of seafood dishes, like Mediterranean halibut or the Faroe Island salmon, plus a full raw bar. But there’s also plenty on the menu for those not favoring fish – Australian lamb chops, duck, flatbreads, burgers and more.
