It’s difficult to argue against physical health. The physical and mental benefits of becoming and remaining fit and healthy are overwhelmingly abundant. Though we traditionally view exercise and other healthy habits as best practices to consider as adults, it is vital that kids recognize these values as well. One professional golfer in particular from New Jersey understands this, and helps inspire children to lead healthy lives. His name is Morgan Hoffmann.
On this edition of One-on-One with Steve Adubato, the show’s namesake traveled to the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield. Here, he spoke with PGA Tour Pro and Health Ambassador for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ and RWJBarnabas Health, Morgan Hoffmann, about his New Jersey roots, his passion for golf, and how he is trying to inspire kids to live healthy and active lifestyles.
Hoffmann got into golf when he was just a toddler, and today he’s a star on the PGA Tour. For more than two years, he has also been a part of Healthy Steps New Jersey.
“It’s really special to be a part of [this organization],” Hoffmann says, “because I’m so into health and fitness. My regimen with working out and eating is pretty strict, and they are very strict with their rules and regulations for teaching young kids how to become healthy.”
