Even though the weather has gotten chillier, there are still plenty of festivals to enjoy in the Garden State this November. From rockabilly to craft beer to historical reenactments, you’ll find a diverse array of events with something to please everyone. Great Pumpkin Festival

Where: Heaven Hill Farm, 451 State Route 94, Vernon

When: November 5 & 6 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Price: $8 per person, free for children 2 & under

Details: The final weekend of Northern New Jersey’s largest fall festival serves up plenty of family-friendly fun on the farm. This event features hay rides, over thirty farm activities and the Pumpkin Patch Corn Maze. Please note that there will be no pumpkin patch or carnival rides on closing weekend.

Rockabilly Uprising

When: November 5 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Price: Free admission

Details: Jam to rockabilly music provided by Full Blown Cherry and Dr. Void & The Death Machine at Historic Smithville’s annual Rockabilly Uprising. Enjoy 50’s-style entertainment such as vintage car displays and a classic pin-up contest.

Family Fun Day

Where: Stonecrest Community Church, 11 Technology Drive North, Warren

When: November 5 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Price: Free admission

Details: New York Yankee Mark Teixeira will speak at this special event. Kids can compete in fun games such as the 40-yard dash, fastest pitch and fastest swing to win autographed baseballs from Teixeira. The first 100 Little League players in uniform will also receive an autographed 8×10 photo of Teixeira. Tickets are free but you must register in advance online.

Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival

Where: Elks Club, 1005 Washington Street, Hoboken

When: November 5 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm

Price: $30 in advance, $35 at the door

Details: Adults 21 & up are invited to try over 20 different craft beers, plus a variety of wines and fine whiskeys at this Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival. Enjoy food tastings, a cornhole tournament and live music, plus a 50/50 raffle and silent auction to benefit the Liberty Humane Society.

New Providence Fall Festival

Where: Springfield Avenue, New Providence

When: November 6 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Price: Free admission

Details: Downtown New Providence will once again be turned into a giant block party. Live music, dancers and karate demonstrations, plus rides, a petting zoo, face painting and a climbing wall for kids make this an ideal event for the whole family.

Exit Zero Jazz Festival

Where: Various venues along the Cape May beachfront

When: November 11 to 13, hours vary

Details: Wynton Marsalis Quintet, The Squirrel Nut Zippers, Cecile McLorin Salvant and a dozen other performers will be on hand for the fifth anniversary of Cape May’s Exit Zero Jazz Festival. The festival spans three days and nine different venues. Tickets are available for individual events and day passes can also be purchased.

Thanksgiving Harvest Home & Armistice Observance

Where: Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, 73 Kahdena Road, Morris Township

When: November 13 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm

Price: $8 for adults, $6 for children (4-16), $4 for children (2-3), free for kids under 2

Handmade in America Professional Craft Show

Where: Upper Township Community Center, 1790 Route 50, Tuckahoe

When: November 19 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

Details: For the third year in a row, this craft show features unique goods from New Jersey’s best crafters. Hand-blown glass, leatherworks, wood products, pottery and baskets are just a sampling of what’s available for purchase. Food, music, a 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and children’s crafting area also add to the fun.

The 240th Anniversary of the British Invasion & American Retreat

Where: Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201 Main Street, River Edge

When: November 19 & 20

Details: Commemorate the 240th anniversary of the day the Americans escaped capture by crossing the Hackensack River at New Bridge. The Bergen County Historical Society presents a weekend of living history events and scholarly presentations in honor of this fateful day.
