A new family learning spot has come to the bustling Ridgewood downtown scene. Wise Wonder Enrichment provides literacy enrichment classes for children six months through 10 years old. In addition to enrichment classes, they host story times, birthday parties, book clubs, author visits, parent meetups, and more.
Students at Wise Wonder Enrichment range from early learners who want to get a jump-start in their education; to children who want more of a challenge beyond what teachers provide in their school classroom; kids who need encouragement to read; and parents who want to prepare their little ones for school-day separation.

Child-Friendly Services
“No matter what age, we have a class that everyone can enjoy. Our goal is to introduce children to the magic that books can hold through our enrichment classes,” says Mary Flynn; education director and co-owner of Wise Wonder Enrichment Ridgewood. “Our classes incorporate reading, art, and music to foster adventure, track children’s growth, and build their reading confidence; all while doing so in a cozy, inspiring, indoor environment.”
The 2,000-square foot space is the first Wise Wonder Enrichment in New Jersey. Mary, along with Co-owner Rina Collins, both grew up in New Jersey. While their other locations are still in New York City, they wanted to open something a little closer to home. “Growing up in New Jersey, we knew that Ridgewood would be the perfect fit,” Mary says Flynn. “We wanted to open in an area where we could be involved in the local community.”
Step Into Wise Wonder Enrichment
“When you walk through our doors, you enter into a world of wonder,” Mary says. The studio boasts warm and muted colors, soft music, and cozy classrooms for learning. “The decor has a natural and organic feel, which plays a role in a child’s learning experience,” she adds. The space features decorative trees and wall-to-wall books. They even have an indoor reading garden for story time. “The magical vibe of the studio helps bring the books we read to life.”
Mary says that reading is at the core of learning and the foundational skill necessary to learn any other subject. “Giving children a strong foundation in their literacy skills will set them up for success in their educational journey. Our custom curriculum is tailored just for them to get the most out of their learning experience here,” Mary explains. “Wise Wonder Enrichment is a great blend between a preschool and a tutoring program.”
