Movie House Paramus is Perfect for Film Lovers of All Ages

Movie House Paramus Ribbon Cutting

Fans of cinema can now enjoy a fully immersive, walk-through experience at Movie House Paramus. It’s similar to the detailed and captivating experience a haunted house provides, but with none of the scares. The walking attraction is now open at Paramus Park Mall, and invites guests to explore 10 completely unique rooms.

Movie House Paramus is a 10,000-square foot space that offers participants a choice between two different experiences. The first is a casual exploration option, where guests can explore each room at their leisure. Meanwhile, the second option is a more interactive challenge, complete with movie trivia and scavenger hunts in every room.

Bringing Film to Life

Guests who explore Movie House Paramus will find 10 rooms full of games, photo ops, film Easter Eggs, and more. The rooms also offer virtual reality-inspired experiences which do not require any special glasses. Each room has a different theme tied to a popular or classic film. For instance, there’s the Munchkin Land room from The Wizard of Oz. Then there’s a room modeled after the Infinity Tunnel from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. There’s also an Under the Sea room that makes guests feel like they are underwater. Other rooms focus on themes such as the beach or Harry Potter.

Movie House Paramus also features a “Movie in The Park Experience” that plays a different, full movie every night. “It’s so inviting, fun, and unexpected,” says Justin Schwartz, founder. Meanwhile, those looking for a more interactive experience can visit the Blockbuster Room and test their movie trivia knowledge. Likewise, each room has a task board with a scavenger hunt for anyone who wants to participate.

About Movie House Paramus

At Movie House Paramus, there are no additional charges beyond the ticket price. Each ticket comes with access to all 10 rooms, plus all activities and attractions. In addition, guests can stay in each room as long as they want, and even return to previous rooms.

The team expects the experience to take guests between 40 to 60 minutes to complete. However, they never rush guests, so the experience time varies per guest or group. It’s also both stroller and wheelchair accessible. The space is also available for parties and event hosting. Throughout the holidays, Movie House will transform into Halloween House for October, and Christmas House for December.
