September FairsAirFest

Where: Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum, 500 Forrestal Road, Rio Grande
When: September 2 to 5 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Price: $14 for adults, $10 for children
Details: Watch WWII bombers soar overhead as you enjoy live music and food trucks. Vendors, aircraft exhibits and children’s activities will also be on hand during the 20th annual AirFest. If you’re willing to shell out a pretty penny, you can reserve a flight experience starting at $450.

September FairsBacon, Bikes and Brew Festival

Where: The Historic Village at Allaire, 4265 Atlantic Avenue, Farmingdale
When: September 3 & 4 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
Price: $8 for adults
Details: Celebrate Labor Day weekend with the best beer, food, crafts and music around at the Historic Village at Allaire. Come dressed in a bacon-themed costume for a chance to win the Whole Hog Costume Contest. This event has activities for the whole family (including dogs), but only adults 21 and over are allowed entrance into the beer tent and garden.

Where: Monmouth Park Racetrack, 175 Oceanport Avenue, Oceanport

Details: Three days of refreshing beer, delicious barbecued food and exciting horse races await you at Monmouth Park’s annual BBQ & Craft Beer Festival. Once inside the park, $10 gets you 10 different 2 ounce samples from over 40 craft beer selections.

Where: Vasa Park at Wolfe Road, Budd Lake
When: September 4 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Price: $14 for adults, free for children 12 & under
Details: Spend the day immersed in Scandinavian culture. Learn the customs, the history and the differences between the six Nordic nations. On hand will be performers, artisans, local vendors, food and kids’ activities. Free entry with authentic folk dress!

Where: 213 Second Street, Belvidere
When: September 10 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, September 11 from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm

Details: Journey into the Victorian era as you stroll through downtown Belvidere, a quaint town with over 200 historical sites for the 29th annual Belvidere Victorian Days. A classic car show plus live entertainment, crafts, antiques, food and more make this a delightful way to spend a fall weekend. September FairsBoots at the Beach

Where: Olde New Jersey Avenue, North Wildwood
When: September 16 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm, September 17 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

Details: Southern Jersey’s largest country festival will feature country vendors, crafts, live music, food and a good old fashioned time for all. The party starts Friday night when all the bars in North Wildwood’s entertainment district will play country music. On Saturday, Shots of Southern, Steel Creek and Philbilly take the stage as you enjoy the beautiful beach air.

Where: Newark Avenue between Grove Street & Jersey Avenue, Jersey City

Details: Explore downtown Jersey City’s finest offerings as hundreds of vendors selling crafts, jewelry and more gather along Newark Avenue. Food trucks will keep your stomach happy and activities like games and face painting will entertain the kids.

September FairsNew Jersey Storytelling Festival

Where: Grounds for Sculpture, 18 Fairgrounds Road, Hamilton
When: September 18 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm
Price: Admission is $16 for adults, $10 for children, free for kids 5 & under (if purchased in advance)
Details: Four different stages at the beautiful Grounds for Sculpture will feature storytellers of all kinds. A story slam contest kicks off at noon, with participants selected at random to recount their personal story with the theme “Out of the Frying Pan.” There will also be educator workshops earlier that morning before the festival starts.

Details: The Good Will Fire Company is sponsoring the annual Hanover Street Fair & Duck Race. This event will include live music, food, an animal petting zoo, a duck race, a magician and a huge fire truck slide, plus many other events for families to enjoy.

September FairsLumberton Fall Festival & Paddle

Where: Lumberton Village Green, Lumberton
When: September 24 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Price: $20 per canoe
Details: Take a leisurely paddle down Rancocas Creek in a canoe (bring your own or one will be provided) and then stroll through the Fall Festival at the Village Green, where you’ll find family activities, pumpkin painting, local vendors and more. The nature trails, children’s playground and Sensory Garden will be open, along with Ironwood’s famous Ropes Course.

Details: Enjoy live music, fine arts, children’s entertainment and food as the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival celebrates its 23rd year. Hall of famer Leon Russell will be headlining the event, along with performers such as The Amazing Incredibles and Zydeco Revelators. On hand to entertain the kiddos will be Preschool of Rock and Jason Didner & the Jungle Gym Jam, plus rides, games and face painting.
